Join us for a special evening of classic Hollywood cinema. You’ll recognize music from many iconic films including Gone with the Wind, Casablanca, Ben Hur, Dr. Zhivago, The Godfather Part II, Cinema Paradiso, and more. Pianist Max Levinson joins the MSO for a special piano concerto based on music from Alfred Hitchcock’s 1946 Oscar winner, Spellbound.

In lieu of a pre-concert talk, the conductor will speak from the stage.
No food or beverages will be served at this performance.

About the Soloist

Pianist Max Levinson has performed as a soloist with the San Francisco Symphony, St. Louis Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Detroit Symphony, Baltimore Symphony, New World Symphony, Indianapolis Symphony, Colorado Symphony, Oregon Symphony, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, Utah Symphony, Boston Pops, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestras, and many others.

He is currently Chair of the Piano Department at Boston Conservatory and a faculty member at New England Conservatory. He attended Harvard University, graduating cum laude with a degree in English Literature, and later completed his graduate studies at New England Conservatory.
